ROCK ME Real Audio - A Muddy Waters Classic. A relentlessly addictive guitar drives this cool song all the way to the edge. This blues standard is given a whole new life that I'm sure Mr. Morganfield himself would approve of.

YOU CAN'T JUDGE A BOOK - I just can't get enough of that 'Diddley' Rhythm. The guitar drives this one and that energy flows from the speakers into your bones. Nice work guys.

BAD LITTLE GIRL Real Audio - A Davey Lee Goode Original. Great original song with a Rock feel. As with all Dave's songs, you can feel the roots here yet the song has a real contemporary sound. Just Great!

MONEY (That's what I want) Real Audio - Great cover of a great song, Gill's vocal performance adds real depth and belief to the song - 'Money that's what I want". The track offers hints of classic style with a definite Rock edge - Pulsating drums, pumping piano and stirrin guitar licks.

FREEZE DRIED LOVE Real Audio - Penned by the talented hand of Stuart Warburton of Manchester England. A Great Mid tempo Jazz/Blues arrangement of a classy and very worthy original song.

DIGGIN' MY POTATOES - Here's a song that was originally written by Big Bill Broonsy for Washboard sam. The style has a Rockabilly feel and I love the false starts at the begining - the whole thing feels exciting and lively, you just know the band was having fun when you listen to this

KOKOMO ME BABY Real Audio - Acoustic Blues - Down to the basics with just Vocals and acoustic guitar. This track has life, its still got that feel that just makes you wanna move to the groove. A very well performed one man and his guitar style Jump blues rocker.

APACHE (Instrumental) - Classic Instrumental given a new zest for life - It's surfy its Bluesy its Hard - it just Rocks. Worth a note on this track is the sound of the drums, there is a great snare and kit sound throughout this CD. This classic track has been most closely associated with the 'Ventures' and 'The Shadows' on opposite sides of the Atlantic, this version is the most exciting I have heard and stands proudly amidst the best.

ALL I CAN DO IS CRY - Definately rockabilly and yet another track that compliments the album well and adds diversity to the content.

GONNA ROCK MY BLUES Real Audio - Title Track - A Davey Lee Goode Original - Wonderful Piano playing on another Davey Lee original. A very catchy blues number that comes across like a blues standard. Great title song that just makes you want to sing along with it. The title works well to define the content of this album.

FEVER - A jazz classic. I was suprised to see this on the CD listing and eagerly awaited a chance to hear what the boys had done with this one. I say boys and correct myself since Gill leads this song with a passionate female vocal. A great mix of styles here, you hear a blues influence tainted with a hint of rockabilly yet the piano stays true to the jazz form - it works just great.

NOTHIN' BUT FINE - A definate party feel to this one. It has a cajun feel that is sure to fill a dance floor. This is probably the pop song on the CD. A bouncy track that has a well deserved place on the listing.

SOMETHIN' BAD GOIN' DOWN Real Audio - (A Davey Lee Goode Original). From the moment this track hit my ears I loved it. A huge guitar kicks this one off then comes the song inspired by a storm which caught Dave and his family unawares on a summer evening. Well written song I just loved it.

THESE BOOTS ARE MADE FOR WALKIN' Real Audio - Wow!!! When I heard the bass start this one I knew it was gonna' be delivered with power and boy does' it drive. Excellent vocals A rumbling guitar that cuts through with exciting instrumental breaks working well with the great drum sound.

AN EXCITING RECORDING.

When I asked Dave to add a comment to my notes he replied:

"It's nice to play in an authentic classic style sometimes, that's what most people end up doing - but its also nice to add a bit of 'kick ass' as well - 'Bite it!' - Taking those classics to another edge - that's truly worthwhile. Music should always be fun - too many bands seem to forget that. Working with great tunes and writing good originals - that's what its all about. There ain't nothin' like pluggin' in cranking it up and having fun - Its the crowd who make the gig - and that's who we're there to please."
